John Finnerty is a tax partner in Citrin Cooperman’s Providence, Rhode Island office with over 20 years of experience. Previously, John was a tax principal at LGC+D, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2016.
John has significant experience working with privately-owned closely held companies and not-for-profit entities. He assists his clients with tax planning, compliance, and research services in various industries, including real estate, construction, and manufacturing and distribution.
John is known for his analytical and solutions-oriented approach. He helps clients expand via joint ventures and enhanced distribution channels, and works closely with clients, considering the sale of a business to assess the best exit strategy and financial outcome. John’s favorite aspects of his job include interacting with clients and finding creative solutions to their problems.
